Futsal History Carlos Bittencourt from FIFUSA to FIFA



CBFS Carlos Bittencourt - Carlinhos ( C ) com FIFA President Joseph Blatter  ( L ) and FIFUSA last President late Januario D'Alessio Neto in Zurich , during the meeting to move futsal from FIFUSA to FIFA.
Definitely Carlos Bittencourt was the man behind the scene that did all the foundation lobby  to get futsal were it is right now.
He started the Liga Futsal with eight teams.
Carlos Bittencourt after 45 years promoting futsal in Brazil , four terms as CBFS Vice President ,
Carlinhos was elected by a majority of votes to be the CBFS President in 2002. But due to internal  Futsal Brazil  -CBFS politics  power struggling complications,  he was on the CBFS president Chair for 24 hours., and Aecio Borba Vasconcelos , claimed victory after loosing on the secret ballot voting by all the Associations, Aecio was  back on the saddle to continue to be the only president in CBFS History for more than three decades.

Carlos Bittencourt should be commended to receive the best award there is in FIFA History in recognition for  the work  well done to get futsal spread all over the world.
Moving Futsal from Fifusa to Fifa was like getting down a wall that was stopping futsal to grow.
Under FIFA umbrella , Futsal has flourished to create better wages for players, officials, coaches, and to all the administration people involved as well as created a fair amount of business and job creation in the industry of floor  playing surface, game balls,  Gymnasium booking and lots beating going on ..
"I am proud to be part of the history of the development of futsal in Canada , and be able to see a new generation of young people taking futsal to the next level.

In 1983 , after three years developing futsal in Canada, Carlos Mateus traveled from Vancouver  to Sao Paulo, to meet up with FIFUSA President Januario D'Alessio
at the Fifusa's headquarters . 
Futsal Canada was officially found under the FIFUSA's Banner with a membership fee payed by the Nanaimo Futsal League memberships fees.
PENALTY of Brazil became the official game Ball and still is nowadays in the Toronto League a legacy from the futsal stardom  in Canada.
