Although some called it indoor soccer , Futsal still growing in Canada and we have here the oldest ongoing futsal since the 80's . it is the 3rd generation playing a game originated in Brazil Well in Canada we started futsal under the International Body FIFUSA that has changed to AMF . But Futsal Canada founded in 1983 in The city of Nanaimo , British Columbia decided to joying FIFA consequently futsal became part of CSA program , and and there is funds available for futsal development in Canada as well as for attending official events in Canada as well as there is a Canadian Futsal Championships and the winning team gets to play in the Concacaf clubs champions

Futsal in British Columbia at city of Duncan The 11th Blake Baker Memorial Tournament 19 teams competed in both men and women . Cowichan First Nation is one of the oldest ongoing Futsal in Canada and the the league has enough talented Futsal players to form teams in Both men and women to compete at any Canadian National Tournament . We got two gymnasium , perhaps hold the BC championships and go to the National Futsal championships . Kris Fernandes we are working on it to have BC back in the National Futsal arena as done in the Past . Futsal started here on Vancouver Island and we are with a second generation of Futsal players . Believe me they can challenge anyone in Canada and will come up on the top of any given Futsal in Canada and they are 100% Canadian born here . Dan Citra and former Canadian National Futsal team player Alec Johnnie are working together to get a men team ready for the BC’.
