Futsal History By: Carlos Mateus , After reading what has been written about futsal history, I would like to pass along some of the information compiled in my research. Believe me; it will cause some debate on who first played the game, which is getting ready to be an Olympic sport. Going back in the old days, the game of futsal was played in England, when football was banned by King Edward. During the England football ban, the game was played indoors, in ballroom facilities, churches hall, were benches were used in the side line to prevent damage to the walls.
