Vice Prefeito Claudio Dalvesco and Carlos Mateus met up at the Balneario Camboriu beach front , during the international footvoley tournament on December 4-5 2010. During the brief meeting an invitation to Carlos visit the Balneario City hall ,to discuss a trip to Nanaimo , Canada in 2011. "Perhaps Balneario Camboriu and Nanaimo become a tourism destination for Brazilian and Canadian , as well as sports exchanging for youth players"said the former Tourism Director and Vice mayor of Carlos Mateus Hometown - Balneario Camboriu" yes I,m looking forward to that and I, would like to say hello from Brazil to Nanaimo as life is getting better in Brazil with petroleum coming out of the bottom of the ocean .
