Snuneymuxw First nation held on November 4,5,6 - 2016 the first ever Peter Good Jr and Joe Wyse Jr Memorial Cup . Peter and Joe no longer with us but still are futsal pioneers in Canada , both played futsal from the stardom of the game in Nanaimo First Nation Futsal in Canada goes back in 1980 at the old Malaspina College Gym , where ,with Canadian friend I started a futsal program for kids in Nanaimo , from that , we formed a league for both man and women and the Nanaimo Native Sons soccer team from the Nanaimo Snuneymuxw First Nation were participating and won the league several time . The league continued growing from 4 teams to 12 man team and 6 women . Also we had anual futsal tournament with team coming from the cities of Saanich , Dancan, Victoria , Vancouver , Burnaby, Surey, Delta .
