Here is one of the first Futsal Canada Jersey Sponsored by Umbro Canada - White Rock - BC that also represented Penalty in Canada in the 80s


I  kept some of it  as well as banners ,trophies , VHS tapes from games including the Aboriginal Cup, events programs , BCTV  videos clips and Shaw Cable televised games of the semi-pro west coast futsal league - where the Vancouver 86 - or former Whitecaps won the league.   as well as video clips from  the First North America Futsal Cup  won by Canada beating USA Futsal in the final game by 9 to 3 . 
Well , it is part of the Canadian futsal history that I had the vision to start it in Canada . the rest is continuation 
" The futsal Logo I did it -  as a symbolic representation of the tree Americas that form our Continent One Maple Leave for each - North America- Central America and South America"  . It was done to represent Canada in the First Pan America Futsal Cup Held in Brazil in 1984" . That was before " I moved Futsal Canada from Fifusa to Fifa " Well.  back then I would call the shots that made  FIFA History for the Futsal Canada.

I am Back in Canada after ten years in Brazil researching the Game of futsal . My finding is  that the Brazilians have mastered the game of futsal  and that is due to the grassroots programs . Nanaimo Judo Club - History of Judo in Nanaimo - Dojo Sensei Mateus

The Nanaimo Judo Club  Dojo Should be Officially  Named " Dojo  Sensei Carlos Mateus " Sensei Carlos Mateus  in 1980  found the dojo  Sanshiro Judo Club at the  Giro Youth  Centre  producing  fine black belts . Sensei Mateus  attending a request from  late Sensei Joe McPeek  shared and  amalgamate of the dojo with the Nanaimo judo club,  that was  struggling to find a dojo  after a flood  on the building under the Queens nightclub - on China  steps , damaged the club straw mats " " Dojo  is a family tradition - Usually a Black Belt when  ready to coach  judo he/she goes  to a Neighbourhood  and found it's own dojo to creating competition "   the rest is History that can not be changed" Futsal Canada Blog is not just about futsal ,  it is about sport and Judo is my first sport .
