Aboriginal Cup - Canadian First Nation Futsal National Team Aboriginal Cup Champion 1987.




Led by Chief Jerry Brown, Coached by Danny Henry, the Canadian Aboriginal Futsal Team, Won the First Futsal Aboriginal International Cup, in a best of three games series , played against the Australian Aboriginal National Futsal Team ,  Games played in  the city of Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo,  Canada , 1987..

Futsal Canada  was in Australia for the Pacific Cup in 1987, A meeting between Carlos Mateus, Futsal Canada Founder  and Charles Perkin- Australia Aboriginal State Secretary, the First International Aboriginal Futsal Cup became History 

Futsal Aboriginal Cup Trophy that I had the pleasure to designed the ruffle copy and it was carved on a three foot piece of Yellow Cedar  by Elderly Canadian Native Artisan  John White Seymour-  from Nanaimo Indian Band. 1987
The First Canadian Aboriginal Futsal Team won the trophy- in three tournament home and away in Australia. The Canadian and Australian aborigines kept travelling every two years to compete for a new futsal Cup. 
The Eagle carved trophy designed by Carlos Mateus and Carved by John Seymour, can be seen at the City of Duncan Cowichan Indian Band Museum trophy case
