Portugal saiu na frente pela a primeira vez na historia  do futsal Portugues em dezoito jogos com o Brazil. 
Portugal continua sem conseguir vencer, somando quatro empates e catorze derrotas desde 1987, com 32 goals marcados e 70 contra.

In Coimbra the Gymnasium  Dr. Mario Mexia , was jammed with thousand of people that pushed Portugal Futsal against the world champions .
Portuguese are abandoning the bull fighting  to play futsal, but that Portuguese  killing stint is making Portugal a great challenger for Canary team, made up with most of the players living
and playing in Spain.


On the first game of the two futsal exhibition , Portugal was on top of Brazil like a bad smell , robbing the ball and break way in counter attack .
According to what has been reported by some Brazilian Players - the Light ball used by the Portugal associations was a big difference in the two games. Brazilian are used to the much consistent  ball that are used in Brazilian and Spanish Futsal premier Leagues- the Max 1000 made in Brazil by Penalty.  
The Portuguese Futsal ball was a wee bit lighter and that made a big difference in the finishing punch to the goal said the Brazilian striker . "  it take more than two games to get to used to a different ball - passes were intercepted in the center of the court, the ball was like a pop corn on a fry pan...

The Nanaimo Judo Club  Dojo Should be Officially  Named " Dojo  Sensei Carlos Mateus " Sensei Carlos Mateus  in 1980  found the dojo  Sanshiro Judo Club at the  Giro Youth  Centre  producing  fine black belts .
